Please support Ivymount's impact on the special needs community by attending, sponsoring or donating to The Ivymount Benefit Auction 2016! Ivymount's largest fundraiser, this biennial event will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Marriott Marquis Washington DC.
The Ivymount Benefit Auction attracts more than 500 guests from the corporate, government, and educational communities of the Washington D.C. area. The event consists of a silent auction, live auction, and seated dinner and presentation.
The funds raised from the Auction support all of Ivymount's programs for children and young adults. With these funds, Ivymount is able to develop and expand programs, increase staff training and enrichment, and create new environments for students to learn.
Ivymount provides school and community-based services for children and young adults, ages 4-21, with autism spectrum disorders, speech and language impairments, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. Ivymount students come from 12 jurisdictions throughout the Washington DC area, including DC, Maryland, and Virginia. During its more than 50 years of existence, Ivymount has served as a leader in special education and directly impacted more than 8,000 children and young adults through its school and outreach students.
Ivymount currently has over a dozen research and collaborative partnerships with leading organizations including: Children’s National Medical Center, The Smithsonian Institution Accessibility Program, National Institutes of Health, the Kennedy Center, Project Search, Music for Autism, Georgetown University Hospital Pediatrics, The HSC Foundation National Youth Transition Collaborative, and George Washington University
With your support, Ivymount can continue its mission to enable students to achieve their highest level of development; to support families in their efforts to make intelligent, thoughtful choices for their children; and to be leaders in the community and in the field of special education so that our expertise is widely accessible.
